remove dotted rhythm in measure 6

in measure 6 of my composition, in the piano part, I want to change the last note (bass Clef) to a half note. However, the note was erroneously put in as a dotted note. I can delete the note, but NOT the dot. That throws off the entire next measure. Very frustrating. How do I get rid of the dot, not just the note???
