transposition
I can download a score on Musescore but there are no visible links for "tools" or "transpose".
Instructions for transposition suggest clicking on "tools". It doesn't exist on my page. Are there step by step instructions somewhere to show how to transpose to a different key?

Transposing will not work on the website. Are you asking where to transpose in the app? In the top of the screen, tools > transpose.
(Assuming you have a Mac or a PC running Windows or Linux)
Download the software:
https://musescore.org/en/download
This will create default folders on your computer
Now download the MuseScore file to your computer.
Run the MuseScore program and open the file in it. The Handbook has step-by-step instructions and they should make more sense now that you have a Toolbar etc.
