does my account that allows me to download scores for the desktop program apply to android?

I'm having lots of trouble logging onto the android app and it occurs to me that android and desktop are separate beasts with different accounts. Is that true?

All I want to do is view scores on android that I created on the desktop. Do I need to purchase separate accounts?
