Change to tablature mid-piece
I'm currently working on a contemporary solo work for bass guitar that requires the usage of both bass clef (for the first like 3 minutes) and tablature clef (for the remainder of the piece), but musescore is refusing to let me switch to tablature midway through the piece, I've only been able to either have the whole part be bass clef or tab using the instruments panel. I'm not necessarily concerned with "correct" playback because I'm using extended techniques anyways so even if there's something where it just looks right (besides my last option of manually creating a tab clef out of text boxes and replacing the clef of every system past the change to it) that would be extremely helpful.

You could try using two separate staves (not linked), one for the bass clef and one for the tab, and use the option for “hide empty staves”. If you lay it out so that the tab starts on a new line then I think you would get the result you want. I haven’t tried it out myself, though.

I confirm this approach is working nicely. I'm using quite often.
Thank you! That seems to work! The only thing I need to figure out is to either have standard note heads in tab or tab note heads in percussion clef, so my journey continues for this piece lol
