I was just looking at LABS Dulcimer and Epic Choir, both by Spitfire.
Do you know, is the Spitfire Audio App required?

Yes, these use the Spitfire vst (as does the free BBCSO orchestra) and do not work in Kontakt
Other Spitfire libraries use Kontakt , e.g. the new Spitfire Symphony orchestra.
It is clearly indicated on the website if to be used with Kontakt or 'Our own dedicated plugin'
