How do I "do" this in MuseScore?

I have a piece which was written in MuseScore, and I have absolutely no idea how it was done – see attached image. Can somebody explain to me how I can reproduce this? I think it might be done with multiple voices, yet I don't see the breaks needed, and the 2nd voice seems to "appear" mid-bar.

The specific potion I'm wondering about is "split tie" in the middle.

Yes, multiple voices are used. After you enter voice 2, the rests (breaks) can be deleted, as the second voice seeming to "appear" mid-bar does not really over complicate what's intended. In fact, deleting the rest(s) reduces clutter to clearly show that the upper two chordal tones are held mid-bar while the voice 2 notes are played.
