File Corrupted: Empty File, but the file doesn't look empty

• Apr 15, 2024 - 19:37

I was working on this for awhile, then my roommate shut off the power. I saved it right before he shut it off, but one my computer started again it said the file was corrupted. Windows says the file is 39kb so I don't think it should be empty.

I've tried:
Opening it with 7zip
looking through my appdata/local/musescore for an older version but couldn't find any
Opening the back up, but it's also corrupted
Renaming the original and opening
Restoring to a previous version but there were no previous versions

I had autosave enabled so shouldn't there be other versions I can restore it to?

It's not empty, just full of NUL characters from start to finish. So that file is toast.
