Adding Tempo

  1. Can I establish a bar that has no time sig? This is for educational purposes like writing out a scale.
  2. Is it possible to colour-highlight notes when playing a score with a midi keyboard or on during playback?
  3. I'm learning from the new online course. Is there a way to rewind and fast forward about 10 seconds?

Generally best to ask only one question in a forum thread, but I'll provide the help *I* have.

Question 1:
Right-click on the measure you want to have more (or less!) than the nominal number of beats. Don't click on a note or rest: right-click blank space in the measure.
From the context menu, click Measure Properties. If you have the UK version of the software, I think it's Bar Properties (?).
On the Measure Properties dialog, under Measure duration, set the Actual duration to the length you want. For example, if you want an ascending major scale, displaying whole notes, make it be 8*4 = 32 beats long.
Then select the time signature and press the "v" (VICTOR) key. "V" toggles "visibility" off and on for any (most?) elements on the score.

Question 2: I don't think so, but I'm not sure. I don't work with MIDI in and out.

Question 3: Don't even know what online course you're talking about, so no idea. *shrug*
