I/O switch results in unexpected transposition

Switching output audio devices from my headphones to my computer speakers (or vice versa) causes playback on the whole piece to go up a half step. It's strange that this happens, but restarting the app generally fixes it.

Any information on this?
Using MuseScore Studio 4.3.0 for Windows.

Known limitation: Never change sound devices while MuseScore is running. It has been this way since I started using MuS, sometime in version 2. I believe it always has been so?
