Tempo change

To TheHutch on MuseScore forum:
Problem: Tempo Change
Here’s what I did:
1. Using Page 140 in the manual, I selected the first note in the score (C natural Violins 1)
2. I opened the tempo palette and selected Quarter note = 80.
3. I selected that to enter edit mode and changed the number to 60.
4. I clicked outside of the metronome mark to exit edit mode.
I didn’t think this worked, but my daughter did all the above but changed the tempo to 20. It was noticeably slower. I just wasn’t detecting the change at 60. (I’m 94 and my brain isn’t what it used to be.)
.So all is well. Thank you for your interest and help.
FYI, the file is the second movement of Rachmaninoff’s piano concerto #2. If (when) I have another problem, I’ll attach the file, as you suggested. Thanks, again.

Hi Elouise: Glad you got it working. A suggestion for the future. If you want to verify that a tempo change is working, change it big: double or triple it (alternatively halve or third it). Which is what your daughter did, of course.

94 and still making music? I'd say there's nothing wrong with your brain :-)

Good luck!!!
