Beam position always going back to default

• Jun 4, 2024 - 19:03

While working on a specific project, I had to insert the rhythms and pitches shown in "Pic 1" attached below. I wanted the rest to stay in the middle of the staff, as it would normally appear in other cases, so I had to move the beam in order to reposition the rest, achieving the result shown in "Pic 2". However, every time I close Musescore 4 and open it again, both beam and rest go back to the standard position, as in "Pic 1". I've tried disabling the auto-place function, but it didn't solve the issue.

Thanks for your attention.

I see the same behavior. I'm running MuS 4.2.1 on Windows 11. I pulled the beam down so that right end is on the bottom staff line. I saved and closed the file. The beam has moved back up as shown in Pic 1. I saved and closed the file, and then exited MuS and relaunched. Same result. I get the same result with the autoplace enabled or disabled on any combination of the rest, the beam. or all notes in the 5-let.

Felipe, please identify which version of MuseScore you are running and what operating system.
