Saving choices in Style changes in Musescore4

I cannot figure out how to make changes to my scores and have them actually apply permanently. For example, when I choose not to indent the first system, it takes just fine. But once I exit from the Format/Style page, it reverts back to the default of inverting the first system. Thanks!
