Random Deletion
I was working on something and randomly it disappeared while I was working on it and I couldn't find it again... I definitely did not delete it myself. I was not even touching my keyboard when it happened. I was placing notes.

When something strange happens, I use control-z and shift-control-z to undo and redo things, while trying to figure out what happened.

So... when you started this (new) score, did you immediately save it explicitly with a filename to a known folder?
I would suggest this as a sensible workflow, to avoid a score "disappearing".
