Transposing
Can someone tell me how to transpose from one instrument to another? I am confused about how to do so.
I was told this program is very simple and can transpose from, for example, from clarinet to saxophone. How do I do so?

You have your stave for clarinet .
Enter a new instrument using "I"
Choose your Saxophone , I propose Alto Sax . Enter it .
You get 2 instruments, now : your clarinet and an empty stave for your Alto sax.
Simply use copy-past of your first stave to the 2nd stave, all is correct, you have nothing to change, Musescore do it for you, your sax score will be written with the good key with the good notes

Thank you. As for all beginners, it takes time! I appreciate the quick info.
Open Staff / Part Properties and then choose 'Replace Instrument' in the Part properties section of that dialog.

Note the 'Replace Instrument' takes care of any needed transposition.
