Piano roll messes up the chords with the chord marks

• Jul 10, 2024 - 20:26

Hi, I have come across an error concerning how the piano roll feature on the Musescore web realises chords in my scores. The piano roll somehow prioritises the chord marks and plays them according to some template structure (rook in the bass, triad higher) and in that aspect it does not respect my arrangement which I put the the notation. To demonstrate I have just created an experimental piece where the chord marks DELIBERATELY do not match the notes (https://musescore.com/user/32550394/scores/19668490/s/IdzOGn) and the outcome is just worrisome... What can I do to keep chord marks in my scores (correct ones of course) yet not to be afraid that it has bad influence on the piano roll version? Is it some kind of setting? I like the idea of having chord marks in my sheet music just to describe the harmony clearly. Thank you kindly in advance.

What's more - the realisation of the chords is flawed on another level, because I noticed that sometimes the chords with chords marks are played much longer than they should be and for that reason their sound clashes with the following harmonies. Again, it occurs in that experimental score mentioned above. -> UPDATE: Sorry, now I notices that THIS particular "issue" is due to the fact that piano roll simply respects the last available chord mark and plays that one even in bars where there is no chord mark added. So ignore this comment, please.
