Printing Parts

I am printing the score in landscape mode, but want the parts in portrait mode. What is the easiest way to print the parts?

A couple of questions. Some of these parts are percussion parts with several different instruments. While these parts are labeled Perc 1, Perc 2, etc - the individual part lists one of the instruments on the part. For example, Perc 1 has a sus cym, bass drum and xylo part and the individual part says xylophone on it, rather than perc 1.

Question 2 - when I get the above problem solved select the portrait mode for all parts, do I have to print each part separately? Or can I just click on print and all the parts will print?

  1. See the second link in my first reply - particularly this bit https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts#creating-custom-parts - a single part can include one or several instruments.

  2. Yes you have to print each part separately if you are printing from within Musescore. However, I find it more convenient to first export to pdf and then print that using Adobe as it gives more control over the output (printing as a booklet, for example). When you export to pdf you have the option of creating separate pdfs for each part or of combining all the parts in a single file. The latter seems to be what you want. It also has the advantage of producing a pdf version which you can reprint later on or send to someone else to print.
