separating instruments with same line

i have a choral piece that starts with "all voices" on a single stave, and splits into two parts on two separate staves (two different instruments or voice parts). when i open up each individual part, it is only showing the "all voices" part on one of the instruments. how can i have this on both instruments without having two staves with the same notation showing on the main score?
