Showing the end of a canon without using fermata symbol

I write out many canons by using e.g. three staves and then writing one part on each line. All good!
Many of these canons can end on a chord (rather than letting each voice play out to the end).
In the Old Days we just marked these places where the canon might stop by putting a fermata.
Of course in Musescore I can't do this as when playing back, the playback pauses every time there's a fermata.
Does anyone have any ideas of a symbol I can use to mark these ending places without the symbol affecting the playback?
