Best practice for using "Muse Percussion" sounds on multi-percussion staff

• Aug 20, 2024 - 12:57

Hi, Just wondered if someone could help and if not, could this be a feature request?

In Musecore 4 the lovely Musesounds are provided. However, from what I can see it is not possible to use multiple muse percussion sounds on a single staff because it's assigned like a VST.

Anyone have a recommendation on how to handle that? Create multiple staffs each for a different percussion instrument, then "merge staffs" at the end for print? This doesn't seem very elegant though.

It would be nice to be able to assign a VST instrument to each instrument within a percussion staff from within the "edit drumset" dialogue, but that seems at odds to how VSTs/sounds are defined in the mixer.

I had hoped that it was possible to assign each part within a staff a different VST (and in the case of a percussion line, lots of VSTs), but this doesn't seem possible either.

Also, can we have some Mark Tree samples that go down as well? :-)

Thanks for your time!
