Laggy/Choppy Playback Bar in MuseScore 4.4

I don't know if it was intentional, but the playback bar seems to stop on every note now similar but WAY choppier than in MuseScore 3. If this isn't a bug, is there a way to change it back to the smooth playback bar in the previous version? If not, is it possible to get MuseScore 4.3 again?
