Fortepiano no longer works

Near the end of this piece, the fortepiano on the trumpets, horn and trombone doesn't work nearly as well as it did pre-update (it says ppp < fp). Before the update it acted like I expected (started very quiet, crescendoed to loud and then immediately dropped down). But now, it starts very quiet, becomes ever so slightly less quiet, then becomes more quiet again. It works as expected if I replace the fp with f, so it can't be the hairpin crescendo causing issues.
