Grand staff dynamic centering on old scores

I've been experimenting with the new 4.4 dynamic placements on old files. In the attached score, new dynamics in the piano staff are centered, but when I reset positions on the existing dynamics, they don't become centered. Shouldn't "reset positions" or "reset entire score to default layout" center them all? They do show up as purple, which I believe means they are staff-applicable.

I figured out that the vocal staves were not actually vocal "instruments" according to Musescore, and fixing that pushed all their dynamics above. So, I did make sure the reduction was registered as a piano instrument.
