M4.4.1 Linux Sample Rate Bug

On Ubuntu Studio 24.04.1 (which runs at a 48000 sample rate via Pipewire by default):
- Selecting 48000 on MuseScore Studio 4.4.1, closing and reopening the program will run a score correctly for a short while (a minute or one play through) and then it suffers jittered playback.
- Setting Pipewire (the entire system) to 44100 and opening MuseScore Studio 4.4.1 with a 44100 sample rate also fails after a few minutes and plays.
-M4.4.1 Is therefore unusable on the most current long term service release of a leading audio oriented Linux distribution .

  • The Jack Transport pull request build at github has mastered dynamic samples rates on Linux. I strongly recommend implementing this Pull Request for its various benefits at the earliest opportunity.
