Playback will not work

I am having a problem with my music not playing. I can press play, but the blue line will not move, and no sound will come out. I can make and save edits, but clicking on the notes will not produce sound either. As far as I can tell, there is nothing wrong with the mixer, as there is nothing wrong with the MS Basic sound fonts. Also, I don't think it is a problem with my audio as every other program on my computer produces noise. I have tried many things to fix this (I am not the most tech-savvy person though), I have tried uninstalling and reverting to factory settings. Nothing I have tried will fix this problem. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
