Screen flicking to a completely random position when changing note value/adding notes

I usually work on very large orchestral compositions, so its easy to get lost within the large swaths of instruments and bars.
Sometimes, when I add a new note or change the value of said note, my screen gets flicked to a completely different location. This only happens when I'm zoomed in.
This is really pissing me off because I need to take 5 seconds to reorient myself before I can continue.
