Score and sound attributes after MuseHub installation

I have scores from MuseScore versions 2, 3, and 4. I am using OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore Studio version (64-bit): 4.4.2-242570931, revision: 3130f97.

When I open the older scores, it usually gives a message about fonts. I have recently downloaded and installed MuseHub, MuseStrings, and MuseKeys. With the Mixer, I can't tell if MuseStrings and Muse Keys are selectable.

Do we have to start with a new MuseScore blank score or template in order to select the new Muse Sounds?
Do the new MuseStrings and MuseKeys sounds automatically replace the Muse Sounds previously selected?

Please advise.
