Pedal Alignment MuseScore 4.4

While using pedal line markings, lift markings no longer line up properly with the beats. I've attached a score below, with pedaling in mm. 17 and 18. The little two lines coming together should create a ^ shape under the first beat of m. 18, but everything's misaligned and I have to do it manually.
