Instrumentation Order 'Orchestral' separates 1st Violin from the rest of the string section in the symphonic orchestra template + other bugs relating to scores from musescore 3
Hello!
I have a series of (mostly harmless but annoying) bugs that I have collected that mostly concern the first and second violin in a symphonic orchestra template. Some of these have been in the Musescore system since 3.6 I think.
Bug 1: Using the Orchestral Instrument order on a piece made in 3.6 separates first violin from the other instruments in the strings. Picture one is what it normally would look like, while picture 2 is what happens when you use the Orchestral Instrument order. Compared to tests in 4.4.3, there seems to be a discrepancy between a first violin created in MS 3 and a first violin created in MS 4.
Bug 2: Loading up a score from MS 3.6 or newer in MS 4, the mixer will not apply the first violin musesound to the first violin, instead it will attach it to the second violin and leave the firsts as an MS basic vst.
Bug 3: loading a score older than MS 3.6 will have the first violin muse sound properly attached, but the seconds will be left with a MS basic vst.
These are really minor bugs, so I don't expect these to be patched, but I just wanted to share them because I found them interesting and also annoying as I still haven't moved all of my templates over to MS 4 quite yet.
Also please let me know if you want another .mscz file for testing, I will happily send another your way.
Thank you!
