SampleTank

So, I recently got into using SampleTank, and I have a problem.

How do I just open up one instance of SampleTank and then assign different midi channels to instruments rather than opening up new instances for each instrument?

Opening up new instances every time lags the hell out of MuseScore and sometimes crashed it. Even more so, after closing out of a score, the presets aren't saved, and even manually going in there to reload instruments doesn't fix it.

You simply can't, it's not provided for by the software. I confirm the problems you have with SampleTank4: with SampleTank3 it's even worse... One can only hope that in the future these problems will be solved. In any case, with VSTi it seems more appropriate to use a DAW rather than a notation software.

sampletank is not a good product anymore and has not had much love applied to it in the past 5-6 years. perhaps reconsider the VST you would use for your MS work.

ah that's really unfortunate. I got this cool bundle of SampleTank stuff for 20 bucks, and MuseScore being the only "daw" I properly own, I wanted to try it out on it. Maybe in some wonderous future, MuseScore provides support to SampleTank.

Thank you though! Maybe I'll get into cubase of FL at some point in the near future, still trying to get a proper job.
