Musescore 4.4.4, on a Mac : Accents not working on pizzicato notes when using Musesounds

On a Mac with MuseScore 4.4.4 and using MuseSounds when I enter in 3/4 (time signature) score pizzicato quarter notes on the cellos and basses and give each first note in a measure an accent , It plays back with an accent on every fourth note instead of third.
(n.b. Also without the accents it plays back with an accent on every fourth note.)
With MS Basic sounds it works correctly.
