Removing playback channels from mixer?

• Feb 5, 2025 - 05:00

It's exactly as it sounds. I'm trying to listen to playback with different channels soloed, but because I'm making a jazz chart with chords over each part for soloing, the mixer is cluttered with 12 or so playback channels, and I really only need one for what I'm doing.

Is there a way for me to just remove these other channels? I'm not seeing an option anywhere for it.

If you want to listen to a single instrument, you don't have to use the Mixer at all, at all. Simply select a measure (or more) of a single staff and it will play only that instrument. You can also select multiple instruments, as long as they are consecutive in the score by selecting a measure in two or more consecutive staves. This will play only those two or more instruments.

As far as I know, the only way to remove the other channels from the mixer would be to remove the instruments from the score ... which I assume you don't want.
