Hide playback cursor
For rehearsal purposes, it would be great to be able hide the playback location cursor. Having the cursor always on means that I get lazy with my count. If I could switch it off It would force me to count properly.

I don't know if it's possible - probably not.
But I have a solution: print it out on paper and put it on your music stand!

Or create a PDF, have that on-screen with MS playing in the background

Of course... but I'm changing the score constantly so it gets to be a bit of a waste of dead trees.
There is a simple solution for Musescore 3 - including JoJo's Musescore 3.7 Evolution fork.
Just open two copies of the document side-by-side and drag the right-hand copy until it almost covers the left-hand one. The playback cursor is only active on the selected sheet so if you select the lower sheet before playback only the starting note will be highlighted and there will be no moving cursor on the visible page. The downside is that automatic panning is also disabled on the unselected sheet, so the solution is only useful if you can display the whole score on a single screen - usually just two pages - but that covers most of my needs as I normally play from a single part.
Note that Musescore-3 evo is fully supported with regular updates and can now open files saved by Musescore-4, so (for my purposes at least) there is no advantage to moving to version 4!
