copying a line into VOICE 2

I have 32 bars but really the second 16 should overlay the first 16. So I thought I'd select copy bars 17-32 then go to bar 1 and select the first note/rest select the 2nd voice and paste them in to voice 2 but instead it clobbered what was already there. Can this not be done? If it can, how? Thank you. :)

Yes, it is possible.

  • Change the notes from measures 17-32 to voice 2.
  • Choose the selection filter and deselect voice 1,
  • Copy the measures,
  • Paste it into measures 1-16.
  • Set the selection filter back to 'All'.

:-o It works! I had thought it wouldn't.

I've always done this in a slightly different fashion, without using the selection filter.

  1. In measures 1-16, Tools / Voices / Exchange voice 1-2.
  2. Copy measures 17-32.
  3. Paste into measures 1-16.
  4. Once again, in measures 1-16, Tools / Voices / Exchange voice 1-2.
