Zong! Viewer and Player released

We are happy to announce the release of the alpha versions of the Zong! Viewer and Zong! Player, which are licensed under the GPL.

• The Zong! Viewer is a desktop application and Java applet that allows to display, print and play back MusicXML files. Here is a little demo applet. More information can be found at .
• The Zong! Player is the successor of the Xenoage Player and allows to play back MusicXML files and convert them into MIDI files.

One of the cool things about the project is its platform independence. Only Java 6 is required, then you can view MusicXML files in any webbrowser, without the need to install additional software. However, we are still in an early stage of the project and we hope that this release encourages more people to join our development team.

We like MuseScore very much and hope that we can inspire and stimulate each other, leading to better software for our end users. Perhaps we can share resources and experiences, and learn from each other. Let's go :-)
