Musescore 2.0 beta - Can't insert ties
For some reason I can't insert ties.

for the difference between ties and slurs.
As is often the case for something like this, attaching the MuseScore file (.mscz) always helps -- or at least post a small sample file showing what notes you wish to tie together, along with a description of the sequence of keys you press during your attempt to enter the tie.
Also, in case you are wondering -- when you make a forum post -- 'File attachments' can be found above the 'Save' and 'Preview' buttons.
