Silent install

Hi,

I am very new to MuseScore. I work at a school which has a fleet of several hundered laptops. Currently the laptops all have MuseScore 1.3 installed and I want to upgrade them all to MuseScore 2.0.

If I take a single laptop and manually uninstall MuseScore 1.3 and then manually install MuseScore 2.0 everything seems to work just fine. When I start up MuseScore 2.0 it works OK.

When I try and use a package distribution tool (WPKG) I successfully uninstall MuseScore 1.3 and MuseScore 2.0 seems to install OK - HOWEVER - when I try to start up MuseScore 2.0 it fails with "MuseScore.exe has stopped working"

If I then manually uninstall MuseScore 2.0 and manually delete the documents/musescore directory it looks like it has been cleaned up successfully HOWEVER if I manual; install MuseScore 2.0 now and then run it I get the message "MuseScore.exe has stopped working" inferring that the uninstall has not cleaned everything up.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Is that on the same computer or two different ones?

If I then manually uninstall MuseScore 2.0
How do you do that? via Remove Programs? or launching the MSI again?

Can you tell us a bit more about how you use WPKG to install the MSI?
