All sorts of bugs in drum set notation

Hey guys, I'm new here. Using MuseScore 0.9.6 to try and do some 5-line drum set notation.

I can't seem to get nearly anything to work. If I try keyboard input, only C and D will give me notes. If I try using the mouse palette on the left, it seems like I can only enter quarter notes. So just trying to create a measure of 8th-note hi-hats has proven very difficult...

Is this still under development? ... Or am I missing something obvious?

As I suggest later on Twitter ;) you are missing the handbook I guess ;) Read Drum notation .
So for 8th on hihat

  1. Select first rest
  2. Press N to enter note entry
  3. Select 8th in the toolbar (or press 4)
  4. Open the drum palette and choose hihat
  5. Click on the drum staff to enter the notes

Last thing, if you want to use C D etc ... right click on the staff -> Edit drumset and you can associate a letter with an instrument of a kit.
