Triplets aren't being created with a bar?
I am trying to create swung eighths in triplet form (like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Shuffle_feel.png). The problem is, if I make a ride note (this is for drums, yes) and then add a rest it removes the bar. How can I have the bar AND the rest?

Excuse me, I mean beam, not bar.

Create the triplet without the bar, then select the rest and open the beam palette. Choose middle beam for the rest.
You can change the tuplet behavior (parenthesis etc...) by right clicking the tuplet and tuplet properties.
You can move a rest by double clicking it and use the arrow.
