Number in a square
A preferred guitar string is indicated as a ‘number in a circle’. This is also
available in MuseScore. But in many cases there is also a need for a ‘number in a square’
(an example is given in the attachment) for the purpose of giving a ‘playing advice’
accompanying a particular part of the score.
Like Frederick Noad does in his three volumes for guitar music.
How can I implement this?

You could use rehearsal letters. On my XP machine, I access it by selecting a note or rest and using Ctrl+m.

Thanks Xavierjazz! Solves my problem. I know I could have discovered this myself of course.
But I think that is the great benefit of these Forums: Sharing experience.
