How to efficiently enter Dynamics onto parts in large scores

• Aug 21, 2015 - 09:03

Wonder if anybody can give their help on this.

If you enter dynamics on to a score with quite a few instriments it becomes very cluttered and takes a lot of time to enter. Much of the dynamics apples to all the instruments and it would be helpful to be able to enter just once but have it shown on each part when you opt to make parts from the score. Is anything like this possible?

Thanks

PS Musecore 2 is great!

Clic on the note of the top instrument, shift click on the note of the last instrument in the same "column" (we call them segment in MuseScore code). Open the dynamics palette, double click the dynamic you need. That's the best way to do it.

If you really insist on notating the dynamic on a single instrument and have it exported to all the parts, it can be done but I doubt it's standard and confortable for the conductor. Add the dynamic on one staff, right click, text properties, check system text.
