getting rid of tuplets

I had a measure in common time which I put tuplets in but realized I didn't want that rhythm there. I tried to just get rid of the tuplet signs hoping it would go away but now after some time i just have 5 beats in this measure with no sign above it and I can't get the measure back to just having a whole rest. How can I return the measure to normal?

Can you list the steps you took, operating system and version of Musescore you are using?

As a work around, I would just delete the measure and start with the next "good" measure.
