How to create strum patterns

Strum patterns are often used for instruments such as guitar.
  1. Select one or more notes.
  2. From the Note Heads palette, double-click on the "half slash head".
  3. Select the notes again.
  4. Right-click one of the selected note heads.
  5. Note Properties....
  6. Tick "stemless".
