Multi-measure rest crashing on some parts

• Jan 16, 2011 - 07:31

About half the parts of an orchestral score crash when selecting the multi-measure rest option. The same parts crash consistently in version 0.9.6.3 for OSX and Windows XP.

Since some of the parts work fine, I thought perhaps something was corrupt in the staves, but I created a new stave in the score without notes, only rests, and when the multi-measure rest option is selected, musescore crashes.

I also tried the latest prerelease with the same results on the same parts.

Since this is my first project with musescore, I thought perhaps I did something wrong in the setup of the score, but since some of the parts are creating fine with multi-measure rests, I'm at a lost as to what the problem may be.

Thanks.

Attached is the score. The issue can be duplicated by following these steps:

1. Open score
2. Go to File/Parts
3. Select part to create - Parts that crash when applying multi-measure rests have been appended with "-x" in the file name. For example, the SoloBTbn and Bb Clarinet parts work, but the Flute and Oboe parts crash.
4. Create part
5. In the newly created part, go to Style/Edit General Style and check the "Create multi-measure rests" check box
6. Click "OK"
7. Program crashes if you selected a part with "-x" appended.

Thanks for looking at this.
