Problems with opening a midi for piano

• Jan 26, 2011 - 09:58

So I just got musescore so I am unfamiliar with this program. I am trying to open a midi that is supposed to be played for the piano so I can get a print out of the sheet music. Im not quite sure how to explain this but the notes that are supposed to be in the bass clef are stuffed into the treble clef (so bass clef is not shown) making the sheet extremely difficult to read. I opened the midi on the demo Finale and it appeared just fine so Im pretty sure theres nothing wrong with the midi. Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can split the notes on two staves by right clicking on the existing staff -> Split staff and choose a note to split. I guess that Finale makes a guess to find where to split.
