Midi files

Using Windows 7
Musescore ver. 0.9.6.3
When using save as *.mid files saved in windows directory as .mscz file not .mid but is recognised as a midi file.
I have renamed the extension as .mid as I use the midifile to convert to Yamaha disclavier files with a program by Gieblier enterprises so as to play on the piano.
The program is a Dos program and works no trouble with all other midi files but does not recognise musescore midi files
I have converted the file from midi1 to midi 0 just in case it wasn't midi 0 still no go.
Musescore does everthing you could wish for and probably this after someone explains why it doesn't save with the .mid extension but is a midi file and why my program does not see it as one
Hoping to here from you
Robert

To save as MIDI with the right extension follow these steps :

  1. Go to File -> Save a copy
  2. Browser to where you want to save your file
  3. Enter a name without extension
  4. choose the Midi extension in the combo
  5. Press save

Regarding your conversion problem, does the program give any error message? It produces a file or not? Have you tried with another MuseScore generated MIDI file except the one you created?
