LOSS OF SOUND

Hi,

Strange things are happening with my MuseScore 2.0.2. It plays for awhile and then starts to whistle and the monitor speakers distort rhythmically. Has anybody experienced this? Could this be a stuck midi note? It is most frustrating especially when one has a new idea and wants to get it into MuseScore. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
