Shortcut . is giving me an accent instead of dotted note

Hi everyone,

I am facing what I think is a bug when I do shorcut "." on my Macbook pro M1 it gives mu an < instead of a dotted note (which would normally be "maj + v"). I've tried overriding both the accent and the dotted note shortcuts in the preferences and I have then tried to reset them nothing works...
Has anyone faced this issue?
