Can not open score
I have saved one of my scores, from earlier Musescore edition, into Musescore 4. After I opened it in Musescore 4 and saved it there, I ca no longer open the score. I can not open the score neither in Musescore 3 or Musescore 4. This is the failure message I receive in Musescore 4:
Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0
Anyone who have a solution to this issue?

Location for Saving a score
The first advice is never to save your updated MS4 score in the same location as the original score (in MS3 format). You must keep your MS4 scores in a separate folder, otherwise you will overwrite the earlier score in MS3 format. And as you have found, MS3 cannot open a score in the newer MS4 format. So: the first time you open a file in an earlier MuseScore format, use Save As... instead of Save, and choose the correct location for your MS4 scores.
File recovery after corruption
Sometimes it is possible to recover a MuseScore file, but you need to attach the score (.mscz file) to this message thread so that someone can look at it. Unfortunately the message XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT often means exactly that. It may be an empty file with no data there to recover, but attach it here anyway.
