Using musescore 1.3

I have been away from musescore for many, many months, the last time was mid 2013. I would now like to continue where I left off. Can I continue to use musescore 1.3 which is the version I was using? I had a number of musical arrangements/scores for voice, saved and almost complete. Ideally I would continue where I left off.
Or have things changed meanwhile so that I need to down load a new musescore software version etc?
