Nightly Builds and the Beta

This isn't a gripe but, on my machine, the nightly build and the Beta will not run at the same time.

Is this a 'safety' feature to keep something catastrophic from happening?

Is it a "shared resources" phenomenon?

Or is it a "just because we said so".

Version 1.3 doesn't care and it will launch no matter what else is running.
